Welcome to Web Design at La Mesa Junior High School. In this class we will be learning the basics of HTML and Dreamweaver. You will be using the text titled REVEALED Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 by Sherry Bishop. We will be working the assignments and projects in the text as well as creating your own personal web pages. Your grade will consist of projects, assignments and tests. Below you will find a course outline for the semester.
WEEKS 1 & 2: Introduction to the world wide web, HTML, how to save your work, graphics, domains and uploading sites.
WEEKS 3 & 4: Getting started with Dreamweaver, Developing a web page, site maps, style sheets and tables.
WEEKS 5 & 6: Working with text, images and links. Begin your own personal web pages.
WEEKS 7 & 8: HTML tables to layout a page. Managing a web server and files.
WEEKS 8 & 9: Using styles and Style Sheets for design. Work on personal web pages and project
WEEKS 10 & 11: Collecting data with forms, positioning objects with CSS.
WEEKS 12 & 13: Adding Media Templates. Personal web pages and projects.
