Meet Mr. Geoffrey S. Aronsky- Computer Teacher Camarillo High School, Camarillo, CA

My name is Geoffrey S. Aronsky and I am the Web Design Teacher in the STEM Program at Eldorado High School in Las Vegas Nevada. Prior to coming to wonderful Las Vegas I taught middle school Business/Computer Education at La Mesa Junior High School in Santa Clarita California.  I have been teaching Business Education for the past twenty five + years in New York, New Jersey and Florida. I am also an online teacher and trainer for Fuel Education (formerly K-12.com)  Many people ask me where I am from originally. I am proud to have been born in The Bronx New York and attended P.S. 86 on Reservoir Avenue. My junior high school years were spent in the Bergenfield Public Schools and I completed high school at Paramus High School in Paramus New Jersey.

I began teaching long before the days of computers and hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Education from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck New Jersey.  Over the years, I have taken various Business and Computer related courses at many colleges on the east coast.  I am especially proud that I am fully Microsoft Certified in Office Suites.

Before returning to teaching full-time, I was a customer service representative, trainer, computer programmer and course developer for BellSouth in Fort Lauderdale and Orlando which is now AT&T.  My experience in the corporate world has made me a better teacher. I now know first hand what is expected of our students today to be successful in the real world.

During 1994-2003, I was a Business Education teacher on the Adult and Middle School levels with the Broward County (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) Public Schools.  I had the opportunity to open a brand new middle school and start the Business Education program which is still running today.  Student organizations are a big part of Business Education. I sponsored the very first middle school chapter of (BPA) Business Professionals of America. We won first place in many events during my tenure and competed against many high schools in the state of Florida.

Over the years, I have also had to opportunity to edit many Business Education textbooks for various publishers around the country.  This has given my students and I first hand knowledge and experience of new software before its release to the public.
